TruSculpt Body Sculpting Q&A

Giving yourself that beautiful looking body is difficult to achieve many times on your own, and Dr. Kindred is an expert at helping you get to your desired body shape. Dr. Kindred provides expert dermatology services including Trusculpt Body Sculpting treatment at her practice in Columbia, Maryland.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is also known as cryolipolysis.  It is a simple procedure where suction is applied to trap the target area; cooling plates are used to cool fat cells so they are irreversibly injured. The procedure takes about half an hour, allowing the body to eliminate the cold-damaged cells naturally over a period of several weeks.

How long does it take to see results from truSculpt?

Several areas of the body can be treated in a single session.  Because the treatment only damages the fat cells, the results are not seen immediately.  In fact, maximum results are seen about twelve weeks after the procedure.  Additional treatments can be performed over time in order to get more personalized results.

Is truSculpt better than CoolSculpting?

Both CoolSculpting and truSculpt damage fat cells permanently but they do it in slightly different ways. truSculpt uses radiofrequency heat to damage fat cells and CoolSculpting cools the fat cells.  truSculpt is considered slightly better because it can be used to eliminate fat in areas that cannot be drawn up into the vacuum device used in CoolSculpting. This means it can be used anywhere on the body.  In addition, truSculpt has the advantage of being capable of skin tightening and making textural improvements in the targeted areas.  Setup an appointment today with Dr. Kindred.

Is truSculpt FDA approved?

The truSculpt procedure is FDA-approved as an alternative to liposuction for individuals who want to get rid of targeted areas of fat that does not respond to dietary and exercise measures.

How much does truSculpt cost?

The cost of truSculpt 3D depends on how many areas of your body you want to have treated and on how many treatments you feel you need Dr. Kindred and her staff, will take the time to review your specific needs and guide you on the best treatment approach.  In general, the cost of truSculpt is about $750 USD per area of the body treated.

Dr. Kindred solved what I thought was an acne problem on my first visit! After having been prescribed antibacterials for years that either didn't help or made the issue worse, Dr. Kindred looked at it from a different angle - yeast. I am so thrilled to have found her. 5 stars!!
